#11m2 #11n1 #11p1 To The Rescue - Adding Sound Effects to Your Game



  • LO -To appreciate the reasons for using sound effects in a video game
  • LO2 - To understand how to add sound using GameMaker so that you can include suitable sounds 


  • Log on to your blog
  • Write a new post telling me:
    • Why are sound effects used in video games
    • How could you use sound effects in your video games?
    • How could you collect / create sounds effects for your game?
    • What legal issues do you need to consider when using sound



  • Task 1 - Collect / create sound effects for your game

    Create a new folder in your Sites -->DA203SPB --> Game folder called Sounds

    1. Go to www.bfxr.net
    2. Create sound effects for your game
    3. Click the export WAV button to save your sounds




      TOP TIP - DON'T FORGET TO NOTE DOWN YOUR SOUNDS INTO YOUR ASSETS TABLE. 

      Task 2 - Add the music / sound effects into your game

      As an independent enquirer use these YouTube videos to help you learn how to add sound into your game



      Task 3 - Testing

      • Test the sound works in your game and update the formative testing (at the top) section at the top of your test log
      • Get someone else to play your game and feedback their thoughts into the feedback section of your test log

      Log on to your school email and then Google drive
