LO2 - To further develop your platform game
Task 1
- Write a new post with the title: "The history of games consoles"
- On your post write the names and years of release of as many consoles as you can find
- What was the earliest games console released for home use?
- How many of these have you played or owned?
- Ext: what is your favourite game / console and why
The Advanced Platform Game
- In today's lesson you will create a more advanced platform game. You must have completed tutorial 2 from last lesson before you attempt this game.
- You will develop the simple platform game from our last tutorial by adding:
- A human character
- Enemies
- Bonus Pickups
- Shooting
- More realistic looking platforms and backgrounds
- Your finished game will look something like this
Use the tutorial on : File Store / Read / ICT / Mr Smith / Game Maker Tutorials / Tutorial 3
You might want to copy the folder into your area
Extension:
- Try creating new and increasingly hard levels
- Change the characters to graphics of your own
- Add new monsters that behave in new ways
