PACKAGING DESIGN:
The packaging design must relate to the style of the shop and include:
- a photomontage to cover the outside of the packaging
- the logo
- the shop name
Create the surface design for your packaging. Remember you must comply with copyright.
Definition: Photo Montage - Photo Montage is the process and the result of making a composite photograph by cutting and joining two or more photographs into an illusion of an unreal subject.
Montage Example...
Starter
- On Page 20 of your booklet draw a paper design for your packaging design
- Get some feedback comments from your test buddy
- Make any changes to your design that you need to
Main Task 1
In 2D design, delete all measurments, select all and then increase the thickness of the line you have used - up to about 3mm should be fine.
Once this is done, select all again and copy and paste your net into a new Photoshop file. Set the canvas size as below, essentially A4 landscape.
Your net should paste into a new layer that is separate to the background layer. Lock the layer your net pasted to so that you do not edit it by accident.
Main Task 2
Begin to fill your net with your packaging designs.
!!Don't forget to take screenshots of what you are doing as you go along ready for you to annotate when you do your design log!!
Save your completed Packaging Design as a JPEG and Email it to me (m.smith@wildern.hants.sch.uk) so it can be printed in colour.
