#11m2 Moodboard Lesson 3

LO1 – To understand what I am looking for when marking your moodboard so that you will be able to achieve full marks for section A

Starter

  • With a partner highlight the key words for each of the different mark descriptors
  • What are the key difference between each of the descriptors?

Main

Using the resources you have collected in the last two lessons start creating your moodboard
  • The target audience
  • The game genre (type of game)
  • The style of the game (how it will look)
  • How you imagine the scenes
  • How you imagine the characters might look
  • Other items inspired by the back story
  • What you think the player might have to do during the game
  • Fonts and styles
  • Colour schemes
  • Ideas for any music, sound effects or speech
  • How your game will be tested
  • Anything else you think is important

REMEMBER:
  • You MUST have 3+ images for each item on the checklist
  • All images MUST be clear and of good quality
  • DO NOT annotate on the moodboard but you CAN have headings
  • MAKE SURE you have glued today's checklist to the back and written your name on the back

Plenary

  • Swap your moodboard with your partner - get them to update the checklist on the back of your moodboard
  • What do you still need to do?
