#8y3 Unit3 Web Development Lesson 5



  • LO1 - To reflect on how you will progress in ICT this year
  • LO2 - To appreciate the purpose & importance of having a house style
  • OUTCOME - You will have identified a a target to help you meet your target grade in ICT. You will have produced a set of design prototype slides using PowerPoint.



  • Look at the WAD 1 sticker on the front of your folder - think about how you could improve your Attitude and CLP grade
  • Write down your WAD and a target for how you will improve in ICT on the sheet inside your folder



  • RED
    • You will have created a basic prototype for your website

  • ORANGE
    • You will have crated a detailed prototype that shows you have considered:
      • Colour Scheme
      • Font Style and Font Size
      • Layout
      • Hyperlinks / Menu
      • Audience and Purpose
      • Images/Logo
      • Professional look
  • Use the example below to help you

  • GREEN
    • You will have crated a detailed prototype that shows you have considered:
      • Colour Scheme
      • Font Style and Font Size
      • Layout
      • Hyperlinks / Menu
      • Audience and Purpose
      • Images/Logo
      • Professional look
    • You will have used feedback from a test partner to make improvements to your prototype



  • EXTENSION
    • Print your prototype out 6 slides to a page
    • Annotate your printout to explain the house style you have chosen
    • Why do you think that your prototype is suitable for your audience (who is your audience) and purpose (what is the purpose of your charity website)




  • Write a new post on your blog telling me what you have learnt in today's lesson
    • What is a prototype?
    • Why do we make one first?
    • What is house style?
    • Why do businesses / organisations use one?





  • Come to ICT homework club Wednesday after school to complete your prototype
