#9m4 Changing Worlds - Lesson 7 - Make Your Moodboard

Lesson Objectives:To be a creative thinker

Outcomes:You will have created a moodboard for changing worlds

Starter

Before you start on any detailed design work you must create a moodboard. This is where you communicate your initial design ideas for your game. You should use it to get feedback from your game testers.
The moodboard should include inspirational materials/images for:

  • the game genre and style
  • settings/environments
  • the characters
  • any music, sound effects or speech
  • anything else you think is important.
You should annotate your moodboard to explain your ideas.

Task 1 - Create your Moodboard

  • The target audience
  • The game genre (type of game)
  • The style of the game (how it will look)
  • How you imagine the scenes
  • How you imagine the characters might look
  • Other items inspired by the back story
  • What you think the player might have to do during the game
  • Fonts and styles
  • Colour schemes
  • Ideas for any music, sound effects or speech
  • How your game will be tested
  • Anything else you think is important
