  • What is an operating system?
  • What is the purpose of an operating system?
  • What are the most common operating systems in use today?
  • List as many of the functions of an operating system as you can, here are some to get you started:
    • Provides a user interface
    • Booting the computer
    • File Management
    • Managing the hardware and software
    • What else does it do?
  • Can you explain the functions you have just listed?
  • What is a GUI? What are it's the advantages and disadvantages?
  • What is a CLI? What are it's the advantages and disadvantages?
