#10n1 Cover Friday 08/02/13

Hello Gentlemen, as you will have no doubt figured out by now, you have cover today. Please spend today's lesson working on your Shop Fronts in Adobe Illustrator.
Best behaviour please!!

Mr Smith

Starter

  • Log on to your school email and find the 10n1 Shop Front Progress Tracker spreadsheet I have shared with you in Google drive.
  • Open the tab at the bottom with your name on it and fill in what you have done so far
  • You should have done tasks 1,2,3,12,13&14 - how many have you done?

Main

Step 1 - Copy your shop front elevation from 2D Design and paste it into Adobe Illustrator. Don't copy the measurements across
Step 2 - Add your fascia that you created last lesson on to the elevation

Step 3 - Colour in your shop to look as realistic as you can, choose colours that will suit your shop

Step 4 - use the gradient fill and lower the opacity to make your windows look as much like glass as you can

Step 5 - Use the line and rectangle tool as well as the direct selection tool (white arrow) to create a 3d looking pavement and road outside

Step 6 - Take screenshots (like those above) showing what you have done and annotate them to explain what tools you used. Make sure to also include screenshots of the toolbars and settings you have used.

Plenary

  • Open up the 10n1 Shop Front Progress Tracker again and update it to show what you have done now.
