#9m1 #9n5 Creating Your Interface

LO1 - To understand how to create a button in GameMaker so that you can set up a menu system for your game
LO2 - To understand what testing is and appreciate it's importance


Starter 

Write a new post on your blog explaining:

  • Why is testing so important when building a game?
  • What different kinds of testing are there?



Main


Task 1

  • Go on to the read drive and find the folder: File Store\Read\ICT\Mr Smith\Unit 5 Game Authoring\Unit 5 Template Games
  • Find the template game that best suits you and save it into Sites --> DA204SPB --> Product


Task 2


  • Using what you have learnt in today's lesson and using the video below if you need a reminder load all of your screens into the game and create a set of working buttons




Plenary

  • Download the Development Log by clicking here
  • Save it in Sites --> DA204SPB --> Evidence
  • Copy and paste your rules from rules log into the formative testing section at the top
  • Test your game to see if your buttons work correctly - record your results in the development log and fix any problems
